We believe medical devices industry globally is at an interesting stage. Global MNCs that have traditionally dominated discourse have remained focused on few areas that has delivered results but have left out many parts of the world due limits in access and affordability. On the other hand, emerging economies have produced leaders that have brought scale to commoditised products but have left scope for climbing ladder beyond incremental innovation.

Entry of consumer tech companies in the fold has brought excitement and is poised to force traditional giants to look at things differently.
